As a college student, I have a lot of part-time jobs to help pay tuition, fees, books, gas, food and an occasional movie. One of the jobs I have is being “puppy nanny” to two adorable miniature schnauzers. I have a lot of experience, since I also have a pretty big miniature schnauzer, a couple of cats, several rabbits, and have even taken care of ducks.
I have grown up around animals all my life, and there are a lot of things you can learn from them. I ran across this really sweet blog by Joanne Brokaw that’s posted on www.beliefnet.com. She writes about “10 Live Lessons My Dog Taught Me.”
I hope you’ll check them out at http://www.beliefnet.com/Love-Family/Pets/2009/03/Life-Lessons-from-My-Dog.aspx
Personally, I think Lesson #9 is a good one for college students: Work Hard, Play Often, and Don’t Forget to Nap!
